Yes, I know. I am a bad blogger. I never expected my studio to be as busy as it is ( I am SO not complaining! Love it) I am busy, busy, busy! I have been trying to get some remodeling done in between clients but that, so far, has been a slow process. SO Mother in Law...when is your next visit? I have a few projects for ya! The river, once again, is on the rise. Yeah! I say that as sarcastically as possible. The familiar sound of heavy machinery all around. Trucks flying through town with clay at 50 mph. Dirt on EVERYTHING! Prom is this weekend. We are VERY VERY excited! I promise pics of my girl will be posted after the weekend. I am going to be there at post prom so I will be able to get some great shots of all of my 'kids'. Today we have an appointment in Fargo and then I will be off with a couple of girlies to get their nails done. Yes, the camera will be tagging along. I am also hoping to get some good river shots as well. I am never one to miss a good photo op. Not much else, imagine that, going on....hahaha!

I survived! The dress was the first one tried on, first store. A flippin miracle. Kind of on the wild side with a slit up to you know where. Had to make sure when she walked that you couldn't see any of the goods but she looks damn good in it. Not sure how good dad will do with it once he sees it on her but too late now. Will post a picture after the big day as to not give it away.

My studio is open one Saturday a month. Today is that day. I love my job. I meet great people and they trust me to capture their family at their best and sometimes at their worst. A brand new baby all the way to the family dealing with a member dying from cancer. Sometimes an emotional rollercoaster. BUT I love it. This week has been especially hard for me on a personal level but today I get to have fun with a newborn, a husband and wife expecting their first child, and a giant family connecting again and a rip roaring fun toddler. I hope that you all have a great weekend...hug your family.

Wednesday Wishes

I know..2 posts in one day. A frickin' miracle.

This bedroom..anyone, please help. I need a bedroom with serenity. If any of you have seen my man cave of a bedroom (thanks Nate for all the decorating you do in there), you know how sad it is. Sad, just sad and pathetic. I want this.And since I am Queen, yes I said Queen, of all candy dishes. I want this to line the back of one of my kitchen counters...Fab-U-Lous!~
So in this picture...I just want the light. How cool are they? Don't know where the hell I would put them but since my tiny house is going to flood this year...maybe somewhere in my fancy new mansion, nowhere near a river!

I ran out of my favorite concealer make-up last week. So I went without for a few days. I never realized how pale and sickly I look without out it until I am already out the door for the day...I know I am totally a hottie..LOL. I shoved the old empty bottle in my purse and went on a mission to get another. Or should I say HUNT for another. They frickin' no longer make it. Kind of like lipstick. You find the perfect shade and the next day, BAM, you can't find it. Us women have learned to buy massive quantities of the color because like I said..BAM, gone forever. So reluctantly I purchased Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer. The bottle said Radiant Firming Make-up with Goji Berry and Caffeine. The color is 200. creamy natural. First off, helloo...instant age rewind, cuz ya know I am ONLY 29...(I think my daughter is catching on...I would have been only 13 when I had my first)...And of course who wouldn't want Goji Berry and Caffeine in their make-up, Really? Second the stuff smells like glue. Ya know, Elmers. No wonder it firms. Third, I am breaking out. I haven't done that since I was 16. Didn't they warn us when we were 13...chocolate and pop cause zits...hello0-caffeine. I have to keep using the stuff (shit) because I can't get back to get a different kind till this weekend. AND this stuff aint cheap. Like 7 or 8 bucks..So...I do NOT reccomend this product. Maybe when I'm like 35 and have lost my sense of smell and my hormones are no longer raging....ROFLMAO!

Anthropologie for $68.00....besides it does match the above items..so I may need to get it. Afterall, I do collect owls, right!?

Yesterday I had to go out of town for a couple of appointments. A nickel size rock chip in my window later, I arrived. Then...A MAT bus pushed my car into a snowbank, apparently I was in his blind spot....After my appointments were finished, I thought that I need a latte...so I headed over to Carribou (love, love, love them...they are super nice). The person ahead of me must have figured I looked a bit...for lack of a better word, pissy...so he bought me my coffee. I paid it forward on the way out of town and bought the person behind me in the McD's drive through dinner. There is nothing like doing that to make a persons day 500% better. Try it sometime. I've got tons to do today so I will post my Wednesday wishes later on in the day. It has been sometime since I have had the time to do that so *hopefully* I will get to today.

...of wedded bliss....or something like it. Happy Anniversary to my Nate. I was a big, corny dork this morning and put this on the fridge for him. 87 Post-its. I know...dork. But hey, the kids will think I am awesome...or something like it??!!

Ever read your horoscope at the end of the day and be blown away by how accurate is was? It's been happening to me lately. So, today, I read it this morning. And it has been spot on so far. weird.
Anywhoo, I had my first session this morning in my new expanded portion of my studio. LOVE it. The natural lighting is the best and the wide open space is perfect. It is not, by far, ready by any means but I had to shoot a few shots in there to see if I had to order any additional lighting equipment and so far it doesn't look like I have to. Yay!! I will post before and after pics when it is ready.

Randoms...

Before my day gets totally swamped, I thought I would share a few randoms today.

• I have a ping pong ball, yellow nail polish and $11.78 in change in the bottom of my purse.
• birds scare me, yet I collect owls.
• I don't eat fruit unless it is in liquid form, i.e juice. I just don't like the texture.
• I love office supply stores..I could spend all day in one, just peeking around!
• My very first radio advertisement will be aired tomorrow!! WooHoo.
• Pink is my favorite color. Purple...well lets just say...it's not my favorite, at all!

Thats all I can come up with this morning. Maybe another post later..the advertising thing has me pretty pumped. Not to mention my inhaler I just had to take. Have a great day.

I am boycotting this damn snow and cold ass weather....I am wearing NO socks today. I am a bad-ass and jack frost can shove a snowball where the sun don't shine. I know, your thinking *Whoa lady, don't outdo yourself*. Like I said...Bad-ass!!

I'm in love...

....with my keurig coffee maker. It is simply the best thing. Pop in my K Cup and punch a button and a few short seconds (no kidding, not even a minute) I have a steaming hot cup of coffee. Bliss in a cup. What? Did you think I was gonna gush about my husband?? NAH! After a week and a half of him being home on vacay, I am going to pack my bags for a girls weekend in VEGAS!! But for now, I will settle for my small cup of sanity at my kitchen table.

I hate snow...you see, after 2 back to back blizzards-kids stuck at home on christmas vacation-our small town grocery store is too expensive and never has what we need-can't get to Fargo to get what we need-oh and did I mention falling on my ass...I am counting the days till spring. Then I can gripe about my house getting flooded.....
